Book Review – Above Top Secret

The web site AboveTopSecret.com is the basis for the book of the same name, with a number of issues discussed on the site being explored even further by Jim Marrs. Those topics include 9/11, oil prices, the Stephenville UFO sighting, road sign codes, a possible Nazi base in Antarctica, spidery drones, the moon landing, the Phoenix lights, chemtrails, Roswell, 2012 and more.

These are all topics that have been written and talked about extensively over the Internet by many conspiracy theorists and others. They are topics that seem to have no way of getting to the truth, thus the many conversations and postings continue. In Above Top Secret, Marrs offers information from a variety of sources but most issues still remain a mystery.

I loved reading this book and I learned much that I didn’t already know, especially about chemtrails. I noted that “beginning in 1997, observant persons in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe started noticing the long trails in the sky that failed to evaporate like the common condensation trails from normal craft. Chemtrail analysis uncovered aluminum oxide, barium, polymers and traces of pathogens. People directly exposed suffered from such symptoms as asthma, fatigue, headaches, dizziness, joint pain and flu-like symptoms."

I found this information important, as I was diagnosed in 1994 with Fibromyalgia, which affects the immune and nervous systems causing among other things, chronic fatigue, joint pain and flu-like symptoms. These symptoms had become progressively worse for a number of years. Also in 1998, I was also diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Due to both of these, I am currently on disability and can no longer work full time.

According to Marrs, “one Canadian research foundation concluded that the much-discussed but little-publicized chemtrails might be an attempt to hide a sickening military secret. Professor Donald Scott, president of the Common Cause Medical Research Foundation, claimed that chemtrails are a belated attempt by U.S. military and intelligence chieftains to stop the spread of a debilitating disease first concocted in the early 1980’s.

According to Scott’s account, the military began developing diseases in the 1970’s that were infectious but not contagious. In other words, they developed an ailment, which could be spread to enemy troops but not pass into other populations… By manipulating this disease, researchers were able to design a disabling bacterium that disappeared following infection. Troops could be infested yet exhibit no signs of the bacteria when examined by a doctor.”
